Has it really been that long???

Wow, I can't believe I haven't updated since April. I'm really bad. May was spent working with Dan trying to get him a new job since he was "laid off" in April. We also spent every weekend up in Lansing or at the lake. I think since the beginning of May we have been home a total of 2 weekends. It has been a crazy summer. The kids got out of school in June and Dillon spent 2 weeks at Grandma's house and the girls were only home for a week before they started Girl Scout Day Camp. They aren't officially in Girl Scouts yet but it was open to all girls ages 5-12 from their school (and a few others). Today is their last day. They have thoroughly enjoyed it though and so have I since I haven't had to figure out what to do with them 5 days a week--instead it's been just Fridays and we have been headed to Lansing most Fridays for whatever reason.

I just started a new round of Stamps in the Mail if you are interested. I'm still working on getting July's projects done. Between classes every week and not being home on weekends, it's been hard to get them done.

I have one more class scheduled for August 4th and then after that I'm on maternity leave. The doctor told me last week if I can get through next week (I'll be 35 weeks then) she won't stop labor if it starts. This pregnancy has been sooooo much different than the other 2. I'm just as big but it's been much harder to get around and such. Of course it doesn't help when the kid drops at 32 weeks. That and the fact it's been hot so far this summer. Oh well.

Dan started his new job (thankfully) at the beginning of the month and he absolutely loves it. He is working for Target as a Group Leader in the Distribution Center about 20 minutes from here which means we didn't have to move either.

I'll quite boring you for now. Keep checking, I will try to update more often. Here's a project from the last round of Stamps in the Mail. It's an altered mini composition book.

All supplies Stampin Up!: Tempting Turquoise Designer Series Paper, Just Because Stamp Set, Lots of Thoughts stamp set; Real Red, Tempting Turquoise and More Mustard Markers; Very Vanilla cardstock; scissors, Small Oval punch. Mini composition book was bought at the local Dollar Tree.
Until next time (which hopefully will be soon).

Stamps in the Mail Round 3

Stamps in the Mail round 3 will be starting up in April. I am currently working on the projects and will have samples soon.

If you would like to participate, please let me know. Here are the details:

“Stamps in the Mail” is for those of you who like to stamp but cannot find the time or the inspiration to come up with ideas. ANYONE can join, regardless of where you live! You will get four new projects each month & get to keep all of the supplies and accessories from the club.
Details

For $30/month, you get the following packaged & delivered to you:

1 new stamp set from the Mini Occasions catalog

ink pad(s) and/or marker(s)

consumable supplies precut and scored in cello bag for 3-4 projects each month

various embellishments for projects in stampin’ store mini container

various other supplies as projects require

directions with color photos

All supplies will be from Stampin’ Up unless we do not sell it!

During each round, you will get different supplies to work with each month (but building off each month’s supplies). My directions & the precut cardstock will be to make 3-4 cards/projects with all of your new goodies, but remember, you will be able to reuse many of the supplies in your kit again! This is such a great value. . .

“Stamps in the Mail” Freebies/Specials:

Don’t want to stamp alone? Invite a friend or two . . . or four (!) to join you when the supplies arrive. And if there are 5 of you signed up as a group, you will get extra freebies in your monthly shipments. If you have friends/family who do not live near you, you may still sign up as a “group,” so forward this info on to them!

Prepay for all 3 months ($90) and receive an ink pad and refill FREE—your color choice (an $8.00 value).

Spring/Summer 2008 Idea Book

There will be specials available ONLY to program participants.

ROUND THREE begins in April, so please RSVP by 5 April. Each round lasts 3 months, so your commitment is only for a short period of time. However, you may choose to renew your commitment at the end of the round. I promise you will not be disappointed in the amount of supplies and the quality of the projects.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Let's try this again.

Okay, so I finally decided to try this blog thing again. I guess it was just too much to do with being a single (yet still married living in 2 different states) mom of 3, trying to get a 3,500 sq ft house ready to move into a 2,000 sq ft house 650 miles away, Thanksgiving, Christmas (the weekend we moved) and then trying to get the new house settled. Oh, by the way, did I mention that we got pregnant while doing all this? Yes, baby no 4 is due around Labor Day (fitting isn't it?).

I am in the process of setting up my stamp (craft) room--I know, it's been a pain in the you know what to actually get any stamping done. Of course, we just had a birthday party for my girls--they turned 6 so I did invitations for those at the "dining" room table that was set up in the family room since we couldn't get to our dining room yet. Needless to say, our basement has a lot of stuff in it that needs to come back upstairs.

I have my second round of Stamps in the Mail going right now and will be starting Round 3 next month. I'm not sure what we are going to be doing yet but it will include things out of the Occasions mini catalog.

I will try to post some pictures soon of the stuff I've been busy working on.

Thanks for visiting.
